We are seeking a Funeral Director Embalmer to coordinate all service types and provide compassionate, detail-oriented support to families throughout the funeral process. Reporting to the funeral home owner, this role will oversee funeral arrangements, embalming and restorative services, viewings, cemetery coordination, documentation, and regulatory compliance. Occasional after-hours coverage is expected, with continuing education support available for professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate funeral arrangements for all service types.
• Provide embalming services and cosmetic restoration.
• Conduct compassionate family consultations.
• Coordinate visitations and viewings.
• Coordinate arrangements with cemeteries.
• Complete and maintain funeral documentation.
• Support regulatory compliance and facility sanitation.
• Operate funeral home vehicles and provide occasional after-hours coverage.

Preferred Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience in funeral service.
• Associate degree in Mortuary Science.
• State funeral director license.
• Knowledge of embalming techniques, restorative art, and funeral directing.
• Experience with funeral home software.
• Understanding of regulatory compliance.
• Strong attention to detail, empathy, and communication skills.
